I would pitch Parker Stinett on Friday and bump everybody else back. Lol. Let them have the game against skeens and pitch to win games two and three. Their bullpen is almost as bad as ours.

Cade should have been pitching on Sundays

I watch just about every game they have played, (dad is a big fan) Their pen is really bad and to be honest, Skenes is the only one they have and he is even starting to throw a lot of pitches.

Now the bad news… They can RAKE and we have no pitching. Stinnett is throwing tonight, so I would throw literally anyone against them Friday night cause we ain’t winning that game. Save Cade for Sat and Gartman for Sun. Let Lo piggy back off one or the other.

This should have been done last year after Sims went down and continued into this year.

We don't have enough pitching to spread good pitchers over three days. I don't understand why we don't sacrifice fridays and go after games two and three

LSU gonna send some balls out of the Box.

Our best pitchers that actually throw strikes also serve up lots of dingers.

Tigers just hit back to back to back homers vs Northwestern. Expect stuff like that in all 3 of our games.

I would start Loo instead of Gartman. Gartman looked like he might be hurt to me.

I suggest starting Lane Forsythe on Friday against Skenes. But borrow one of the softball teams head cages to protect his face.

You are joking, but shows how trashed out this program is today. Can't even compete over 3 games in a weekend series anymore.

This is probably how Austin Peay thinks when they play an SEC team.

Which pitcher is better in May than he was in February? Who's improved? KC Hunt is +10 ERA senior, a 5th year senior.

Alabama and auburn did it the last two weeks. But point taken

And it worked Auburn, they basically conceded the Friday game but then won the next two.

We aren?t as good as Auburn, but point remains.

Our fans are relegated to conceding games in hopes of winning a game in a season that's going nowhere. So sad to see how far we've fallen under this staff.

It's like we made a deal at the Crossroads. Two years of giving the devil his due.

When Lemon said we have arms that could have helped us this year but we didn't use them due to roster limitations, who was he referring to?

35 man roster limit most likely. Maybe referring to Auger and Simmons who we redshirted because they wouldn't be 100% this year which is the right move.

So, since Lemo is being retained, will Auger and Simmons be the friday and saturday starters next season if healthy?********

I understand the limit, I was wondering who the players were because I didn't think Simmons and Auger were ready. And his phrasing was something along the lines of "we have guys in the pen that have the talent help, but we aren't using due to roster limitations."

These are quotes from a coaching staff that was raving about Stinnett, Yntema, and Hardin in February. Can you believe what they say?

They even had people talking about Stinnett as Friday night. They actually had Yntema as the Saturday starter. Hardin was 1st from the pen like he was Jonathan Holder.

Awesome talent evaluation to compete in the SWAC, i guess.

Yeah this is the thong about Lemones. Even if he manages to change the culture, light a fire under their asses, get them to play good defense, work on fundamentals, hire a real pitching coach... even of he does all that, he still isn't good at player evaluation. Yeah he gets some gems like Yeager or Ledbetter, but he wanted NIL to go to Stinnett, thought Hunt could be a Saturday starter, throught Hancock could play catcher, brought in that God awful Juco OF last year (Seibert?).

He just keeps misevaluating his roster and it wastes spots. You can't afford to do that and win at a high level in this league. You HAVE to recognize your weaknesses as a prerequisite to fixing them.

Would a good pitching coach help? Probably. But you'd still have dumb decisions like giving NIL to keep Hancock and not pursuing a transfer catcher.

You never know what happens after TJ. We have seen everything from Ethan Small (1st Round Ace) to Keegan James (Pretty Good) to Parker Ford (Back but not ok) to Never pitching again.

Next year you would think (Being super optimistic):

Friday - Cijntje -SO (better give him the dead Stinnett NIL money, ASAP)
Saturday - Loftin - SO (better give him the dead KC Hunt NIL money, ASAP)
Sunday - Holcombe - JR

SEC Relief
Pico - SO (Long Relief, if he is healthy)
Dohm - JR (Long Relief)
Cheatham - JR
Simmons - JR (Closer, if he is healthy)
Auger- JR (8th Inning Man, if he is healthy)

Then you think 1 or 2 of this group becomes ok.
Siary -SO
Tapper - SO
Logan Forsythe - SO
Gibbs - SO

He needs to portal-in about 3 or 4 decent non +9.00 ERA upperclassmen from SoCon.

I think the portal has a limited talent pool in it to start with.

I never did understand bringing in Ynetema or Hardin. They didn't exactly dominate JUCO either. I thought Ynetema would be a LOOGY and that's it.
