View Full Version : This iron bowl is an example of why we don't need a 16 team neutral site playoff

you take away the importance of these classic regular season matchups. how could you think it would be a good thing for the loser of this game to be saying to the winners " we'll see you again soon on a neutral site, we'll settle things at that time" ? seriously? Do you not see how college football has the most dynamic regular season in all of sports?

I prefer a 4 team playoff but to appease the non traditionalists who, bless their hearts, don't know better, I'd maybe be ok with a 8 team playoff. But 1-4 should host 5-8 at home sites to set up a final college football superbowl. These classic matchups should have meaning like they've always had. au, or bamer should at least be playing for home field or loser go home and await a no natty bowl game.

NEVER should we take away the importance of these once a year rivalry games that have always defined the best sport there ever has been.
