Per ESPN he was a ZERO star coming out of high school in Pensacola Florida.

He finished the most prolific CB in Illini history. He was a Jim Thorpe finalist as well.

Martin Emerson was his high school teammate. I hope they ran a lot of zero coverage, ha.

It's wild to me that he could go be undiscovered at a high school with more than 400 students per grade. It's not like he was in the boonies somewhere playing 8 man football. Illinois was his only P5 offer and it came late.
