If those were strikes then the Ump had been calling the whole game wrong until sometime around the end of the 8th. He missed a few in the 8th and then just completely checked out in the 9th.

But at the end of the day, it?s difficult to know what is coached for hitting versus what the players do. They can revert to xyz approach, etc. whether the coach has the philosophy or not. And it?s not necessarily that they are ignoring the coach. Could be other things.
