Interesting, we've played 3 top 10 teams in SEC play which is a tougher schedule than OM has played but same record.

OM on pace to do what we did last year.

Some season stats for additional context.

We've improved our batting average by a lot (4th best) but we're dead last in ERA and fielding percentage. If this fielding percentage holds we'll be the worst defensive team of the past at least 7 years (that's how far back ESPNS stats go).

Edit: we've allowed the most walks in the league BUT we also leade the league is strike outs looking. What does that tell me? We're nibbling at the zone, be it 3 ball counts or 2 strike counts. Scared to actually throw it over the plate.

We also have a ton of wild pitches but we haven't hit many batters. I think this shows what we've all seen- Foxhall lives on the outside and refuses to use the inside corner. To me, you HAVE to use the whole plate to keep them off balance

One of our catchers hasn't helped w wild pitches either. But I'll say he is improving. And is an Uber athlete.
