You forget the 2000's? There was a year only Nick Routt (as a freshman) gave the only shot to win a game. Then there was the year that Friday was a Walk-On with 4.0 GPA that did not return for his Senior year, for Vet School or Dental School.

You're forgetting several years. Polk 2 didn't have a dominant guy often than he did. Few other years tacked on. But we clearly don't have one now. At least not yet

In fact we had the opposite where non Rotation guys like Miles Gentry pitches a gem in the SECT, J Billingsley saves the Bullpen in Hattiesburg, John Harden becomes a Walk On Legend, Tim Henderson in 1990, etc
