He deserves some accolades too. After 2 years of not making the Tournament at all and every Schaefer player gone (including a 6th year senior transferring to Ole Miss...), it would have been very easy for our program to slide back into just a team that makes the Tournament on occasion. Instead Purcell got us there in the first year, and the future looks bright!

They have come a long way from the NMP days. She was such a terrible coach.

Maybe having cancer distracted her some, you think. I'm not that close to the program but I'm willing to give NMP the benefit of the doubt. Things didn't work out for all involved.

Agreed. Also being a coach at that point in time also had to be tough.

Even in a thread celebrating something good, your comment is just set up to be negative and put down-ish about former staff.
