I posted as soon as I saw it. During acc tourney, they said this is the latest lunardi update. Hopefully they had it messed up

I we t and checked the 4 projected 6 seeds.

1 is Kentucky so I don?t think they would match us against them in the 1sr round.

The other 3:

San Diego State 224 made 3 pointers
St. Mary?s 256 made 3 pointers
Creighton 275 made 3 pointers

I guess everybody knows our Achilles heel on defense by game 34.

Yes we definitely would have been out had we lost. It would have been almost impossible to make it.

We're in a weird place. We are at worst in a play in game. If we beat Bama, which is possible, we are an 11 non play in game or a 10 because of the big win. That would put us in a decent position to win the tournament because we could definitely beat any teams left at that point. If we win the tournament we could move to a 9 which we don't want.
I really want to beat Bama because I hate everything Bama. The seeding bump is a bonus.

CaptainObvious

Frankly among 9, 10, or 11 I prefer 11. If you steal the 6 seed?s spot, you next game is against a 3 seed.

Actually, I don't care which seed we get, upsets happen a lot in the Dance. I hope this is the first of many chances in the Jans era.

That's great and all, but the 11 seed has a winning record against 6 seeds in the last 10 years. The 10 and 9 seed both have losing records. An argument can be made that the 11 seed has the easier 1st round matchup between 9, 10, and 11 too.

Yea that seems silly. I don’t think either Pitt or NC State deserve to be in over State or Clemson. NC State has 1 Q1 win that’s it. Pitt at least has 4 but so do we and they have a quad 4 loss and we don’t. I will definitely be really mad if Pitt and NC State get in over us. Clemson I could see more. Utah State is a really strange one. Their NET is like 17 or 18 but they are projected out of the field. That goes to show NET doesn’t hold as much weight as people want us to think.

I think it is a dumb dynamic to consider good losses more important than bad wins. You could have the number 1 strength of schedule, go 18-14 and be ranked ahead of a team who went 21-9 in an equal or better conference. So the 18-14 team plays a tougher non-conference schedule and goes 5-8 but 11-5 in a weak conference and 2-1 in their tourney. So that gives them an advantage over a team that won all 12 non-conference games but played a much tougher conference schedule and went 9-9.

As long as there are no upsets, but after today I will be happy with play in game. The fact Jans most likely has this team in the tournament is a miracle and he deserves to be in consideration for coach of the year

I worry about Vandy getting hot because the committee could be unpredictable but history says it doesn't matter. A&M can attest to that.
If they win the tournament it could hurt us if the committee is set on 8 SEC teams.

This will be unpopular amongst some here but Vandy deserves to be in the tourney over us. I don't give a shit what the experts or metrics say, Vandy is more deserving than us and one of the hotter teams in the country.

It reminds me of the people that laughed about ND beating Tennessee in the super regional. I knew that would be a disaster because it meant Ole Miss was winning the NC. It’s similar in the fact that this could leave us out. I didn’t care if Tenn was “mean” them losing put Ole Miss as NC. Some people just don’t get it. Hopefully we still make it, but it puts us in a bad position

Vandy has to win it all to make it plain and simple. If they beat Bama to win it all I can?t argue they don?t deserve it over us, we had 3 shots to beat them and looked like ass two of those times

We don't have a quad 4 loss and our 11-1 OOC start with some good wins really helps us. I don't understand close loses value. Could our SEC record come back to haunt us as there are only 3 good wins in the 9, which are arky, aTm, and MO?

That's kind of the boat I'm in. The bubble has been really bad this year and I've come around to thinking that we were probably in regardless vs Florida. That win just kept us out of the play in. Conference tourneys don't matter to the committee honestly. To give you an example of how bad the bubble is, Vandy and their NET of around 75 still have a chance and are still being talked about as on the bubble.

That's what I've been trying to say. We have the wins. Our name works against us in things bracketology but I bank on the committee sticking to things they value. It's like in 2018 half our fans thought we were going to be 7 or so and we were a 5

The way Vandy's been playing the past month or so they deserve to be in, but on their own, not to replace us. They beat UK twice, I think, in one week. Plus, Stackhouse is the best-dressed coach in the country. :D

We looked tired against Bama so I think if we have to play the first four game we are doomed to a max of two games in the tournament. If we can skip playing Tuesday or Wednesday our defense gives us a shot to get through the first weekend. I think we're anywhere from first four to a 10 seed. I just want to avoid the first four game.
