On Friday alone we had 11 Ks, 12 BBs, and 13 ERs. And out of those 11 Ks, 4 were Brock Tapper who was not on the roster last year.

I am returning to be cautiously optimistic after the response in these last two games. Friday we looked to be dead in the water and ready to write them off. Didn't like how we looked continuing from last season so early into this season, but Lemonis might be figuring out what works and what doesn't. I am most pleased and will admit willingly Forsythe has made me eat my words last night and today. Hopefully he can continue building upon this weekend and show us how much of a bulldog he is despite many of us, including me, shite on him. If we can make it to Omaha with this team of uncertainty, I will buy a legit crow and grill it....

I said last week that I thought we would see Cijntje on Tuesday and although I would love to hold him til this weekend and let him start I still think he starts on Tuesday. I think his first weekend start will be Lipscomb.

I like the freshmen, but it seems that Cade, Yntema, and Gartman are a good rotation. MSU can give Loftin and Cijntje big roles in the weekend, even not starting. Keeping them more fresh for later.

Then you have Tapper, Gibbs, Pico, Siary, Dohm, and Nixon to back them up. Long relief is a big deal in collegiate baseball, so Loftin and Cijntje can play huge roles from that platform.

Then maybe Tyler Davis made a leap this weekend, that's another good guy.
