This is corny and un-scientific, but WTF happened today is that the coaches stopped respecting the opponent. You leave in a freaked-out pitcher and bring in a damaged-goods pitcher that other players see as "capitulation". Then you lose the eye of the tiger. Hitters stop hitting, defense might lose focus, and even the next pitchers get freaked out.

Basically, losing the eye of the Tiger is really bad. They made a movie about it.

Definitely agreed on Hancock and Jordan. Moreso Hancock than Jordan. I might let Forsythe play tomorrow but you definitely play Mershon in the midweek if you don't play him tomorrow.

Yea it was a terrible slide, but he was safe. The side angle definitely showed. But unfortunately they called it out on the field and they hate to admit they were wrong.

This first pitch swinging crap hurt us multiple times last year when trying to come from behind late innings. Their Center Fielder who had a nearly 7 ERA last year has shut out batters down.

There are tons of opportunities to coach from this game, and it is easy.
1. Throw strikes and attack batters.
2. If they get on base, pick off moves until they get tired of getting back on the lead. Never pitch the ball to the plate.
3. Never walk any batter, regardless of situation.

Both. He hired a shitty pitching coach that can't identify talent nor develop it. it says something when your best players are your transfers. He has made one pitcher better since he started and has made numerous pitchers worse.

Going from National Champion to last in the West with a losing record really worried me even if we did have some pitching injuries. I am not into baseball and don't know as much as many of you, but I did play in the 7th grade and this looks bad.****
