One thing I heard Jans say in his last press conference was that he probably should have inserted Shak Moore in the starting lineup earlier in the season. Alot of us said the same thing, it takes alot for a head coach to admit that and I've been really impressed with Jans recently. I had my doubts at certain parts of the season but it looks like he has this thing running smoothly now.

Just looking at this schedule and Ky game tonight, I see 4-2 as the very least we can do to make tourney. Not as easy as it is on paper to win on the road especially. I like our chances of 4-2.

If we defend our home court and win 1 SEC tournament game I think we get in based on that giving us 21 wins and most likely having wins over 3 solid tournament teams in the non conference (Marquette, TCU, Akron) and fellow bubble team Utah. Compliment that with wins against @ Ark, Missouri, Kentucky and aTm. I can’t see how they could leave us out, but winning one of the 3 road games would be a help to solidify it

I agree it's not as intimidating but the committee has always loved UK and a win against them vs. A win against a similar Quad team will look better. It's stupid but blue bloods always hold a little more weight

I understand that our starting 5 can not play 40 minutes each but you have to have at minimum 3 starters on the court at all times. One thing this team is still missing is that go to consistent perimeter scoring threat. Davis and Shak have both been pretty solid lately but we miss that Iverson Molinar, DJ Stewart, Q Weatherspoon type offensive guy on the perimeter.

Dj Jeffries should be that for us but he just isn't. He does play defense though so I'll give him that.

Last night, he wasn't even looking at the basket a lot of the times he had the ball around that area.

Huge loss last night given we were pretty much directly competing with KY for an NCAA bid. Just no excuse to get abused like that on the boards especially at home. Rebounding is all about positioning and effort. Getting to break even with our SEC record looking pretty bleak now.

Agree. If we can get to 9-9 in the SEC we should be in. But going 3-2 the rest of the way was way more doable than 4-1. We are MState though so we never like doing anything the easy way. Being honest though, from a talent standpoint, it would be a major achievement for this team to make the NCAA tourney and we always seem to get psyched out playing KY.

At no point in the second half did we have 4 subs in with one starter and I dare to say if we did in the first half it was for a minute or 2 max
Reason being Stevenson didnt even play the second half and played 4 minutes total,
Jones played 6 minutes and Reed played 17 and he didn’t play bad
Mcnair played 7 minutes

And these 4 bench players have played pretty well on this winning streak and all 4 had double digit minutes in a win at Arky.. so Jans actually played his bench less last night

Tough to watch ?? Yeah we got rebounded by one of the top rebounding teams in the league .. we didnt rebound well at all but it wasnt for the lack of effort , sometimes balls dont bounce your way and it doesn?t help when there is a guy named tshiebwe on the other side ...

We didnt play our best game thats for sure, but I will take a split with Arky and Kentucky

I think it was more of just having the experience of big game. We haven't been that situation in years. Plus crowd was hyped up and so were our players. Pressure seemed to have gotten to them and we didn't play relaxed.
