What is acceptable this year?

Is a 35-23 regular season acceptable?

My thoughts are 40 wins should be floor

Mine is make the tourney as a min. Not sure how many wins that is. We miss the tourney some big changes must happen.

If we win 40 then we hosting and that would be great but for me not sure how realistic that is.

Acceptable? After last year?s debacle?

Winning at least 34 games
Winning at least 14 SEC games.
Not getting 10 run ruled in the SEC tourney.
At least a 2 seed in a favorable 16 seed?s bracket. Playing in that Regional Final.
Anything else is gravy.

Super Regional is always the minimum goal. Anything less than that is a disappointment. Unless we happen to win the SEC Tournament which I don't care that much about.

This. Make a super is my goal for the team every year.

.500 SEC record, but dead injuns are conjuring up another year of sucking.

There are forecast to finish 7th in West… those are easy bets for me… money season on the boys in Maroon. My bet is top 5 in West. And yes that would put them in top 15 at seasons end. But right now the even money bet line is 7th in West.

Is an overall winning record too much to ask?

Vbet time, who can set it up?

I think Dogs win 15 to 17 games in the SEC

Probably start the season 16-2 to 18-0

Why- because Lemonis will be 1000% dialed on each game as a post-season decider. Team will feel like each game is a regional matchup.

I overlayed a typical MSU bullpen on last years results, the Dogs would have won 14 to 16 games. That's after losing Landon Sims. If the bullpen retains a 2022 level of performance, then I am way off.

Also, Lemonis has a more dynamic offense this year with Larry and Ledbetter. Hujsak is an SEC player, I isolated his stats to regional and Omaha teams, he belongs and hit 325 last year vs that competition. Would be cool if Forsythe has grown and muscled-up and starts mashing a bit.

Just make the tournament this year

When you say "Tournament" are you talking NCAA or Hoover?

Didn't that curse die in 2021?

Agree but that didn't hurt us in 21.

Agree most years but after last year, I think this year must be a different expectation. A super this year might take a miracle.

How about not losing any pitchers to Tommy John.

NCAA Div 1 website has us preseason as a 2 seed in the Wake Forest Regional. Waaaaay too early to call that.

Some of y'all are way too pessimistic. Barring a rash of injuries we will be top half of the SEC; host a regional and everyone will gripe if we aren't hosting a Super even though that is way above expectations

Then we win that Regional and Play in Supers

The SEC tourney is completely meaningless. I'd prefer to get 10 run ruled and just get out of there. It does nothing but stretch your bullpen razor thin for a pointless trophy.

Just get in a regional somewhere, we’ve won many on the road over the years and by then we’ll be set on who our pitchers are and their roles plus power travels and it sounds like we can hit the ball.

14 SEC wins would be good, 15 is awesome.

As much money, time and effort MSU has put into baseball compared to everyone else over the last 40 years we should have multiple National Championships by now.

We should, but baseball is baseball. Anyone can win at any given time. Look at Tenn. Everyone was ready to just kneel down and give them the trophy and they didn’t even make
It to Omaha. Baseball can humble the best teams…

If it was all about money, LSUx would win every year. Georgia has a title. Vandy and SC have multiple titles. Not always about the budget or the facilities.
