Just an incredible win last night. Bud Walton is one of the toughest places to play in America and to go in there and punch them in the mouth like we did was damn impressive. Just a few takeaways and thoughts moving forward

1. Our 3 pt shooting has vastly improved and I think it comes from actually looking for 3's. Early in the season it seemed we would only take 3's late in the shot clock and would pass up open looks. I have loved watching us the last few games actually hunting 3's. Shak and Rams are really starting to find their stroke out there and it was great to see E Reed knock one down yesterday as well.

2. Bench production. Our second lineup of Reed, Jones, Shak, McNair, and Stevenson really came to play yesterday. They actually built that lead out a little midway through the first half. McNair and Jones have really come along the last two games and are starting to be able to give us quality minutes.

3. Cam Matthews and DJ Jeffries are night and day from a year ago. They both still have their limitations offensively, Cam more than DJ, but their intensity is unmatched. Cam has a little bit of Ja Morant in him that he just truly believes he's going to dunk on anyone and you better get the hell out of the way when he's barreling down the lane. DJ's ability to get to his spot and not settle for contested jumpers has been fun to watch and when he takes off.....get ready. Because he's about to put someone on a poster.

4. Jans has completely changed the culture. Under our previous 3 coaches we lose that game yesterday. We would've gone into a stall down the stretch and they would've won by 3 or 4. He never let this team get down when we were struggling and just kept on message. And also, if you don't think that game yesterday was personal to him then think again. That's the team that knocked him out of the tournament last year. He wanted that one.

5. Our next 4 games will decide our season. 3-1 or 4-0 and we're in the tournament. No questions asked and the SEC Tournament is just for seeding. 2-2 is dicey, but anything and we're going to need to make a run. We HAVE to get at least two between UK, @Mizzou, and ATM. And it goes without saying but we CANNOT lose @OM, USCe, or @Vandy. 22-9 and you're in no questions asked. 21-10 and you're still probably safe but you may need a win to solidify it. Anything worse you're going to need a run to the semis.

LASTLY, PACK THE F'N HUMP WEDNESDAY. Get to Starkville early and go get good and liquored up. BE LOUD BE RAUCOUS and BE THE DIFFERENCE

#2 was huge. Those guys played really well yesterday. In regards to #5 - Vandy at their place has gotten a little more difficult. Those guys are playing better lately and we always seem to struggle there.
