Both these coordinator hires are mind boggling to me. Bryce young bailed them out of so many situations last year, I could see them losing 3-4 games next year, which means they probably go undefeated

Bama?s defense will improve.

Kevin Steele is a great defensive coordinator. He was almost the auburn head coach a few years ago. He had one bad season at Miami but Miami sucked bad last year on both sides.

Bama?s offense will be significantly worse. Bill o Brian wasn?t the one dropping passes all year long. You also lose the best player in CFB in Bryce Young and Will Anderson.

Bama will be 10-2 again next year like I predicted a few weeks ago. If we wanted to beat them, this is the year to do it in starkville.

LSU will run the west for the foreseeable future but they aren?t unbeatable either.

Georgia is pretty much unbeatable in their current form until they lose todd monken.

LSU and Bama struggled on the road last year. We'll see if that continues this year.

Steele and Saban go way back. Steele was actually Saban's first DC when he got to Bama.

Steele is a great DC. His reputation got tarnished by the stuff at Auburn more than anything. I still believe that was a certain group of boosters pushing him than him pushing for the job on his own.

I think Steele is at least as good as golding.

I also think the USM dc that went to be the LB coach at Bama may be a guy in waiting for that job. Pruitt getting back on staff wouldn't surprise me either once his ncaa stuff gets worked out.

I remember Steele as Baylor coach. In 1999, he made one of the worst calls of all time when he had 12 seconds to burn while the other team had no timeouts. He called a run and the RB fumbled. The other team returned it for a touchdown and won the game. All he had to do was have the QB take a knee and the game was won.
