Good thing this wasn't around when my coach made a august morning practice in Biloxi all about me and my buddy decided to pull an all nighter at a bar back in 1978. Then during the mid morning break come down to the lockerroom and tell us that if we survived the afternoon practice we would still be on the team. And we were the senior starting Off and Def tackles, Small Catholic school. Years later I thanked him because Airborne School was not as bad as that day.

No when you spent the summers clearing land by hand or working on shrimp boats we were in shape.

350 push-up in 60 minutes? That’s only 6 per minute. That doesn’t seem excessive.

Rhabdomyolysis...you can push too far, thats why strength and conditioning programs should be ran by actual trainers. I was raised in the times when we were ran like dogs and worked out kinda extreme to make us tough and we were tough but we had dead legs at the very beginning of basketball season...my coach used to say he was gonna run us til he puked...speaking of dead legs it kinda reminds me of States free throw shooting, ive been wondering does the defensive intensity compromise their legs

Rhabdom happens to some of the fittest people and has nothing to do with being in shape. So good try.

This isn't a "Look at me I'm a Billy Badass" thread, but I'm almost 51, and I do 320 push ups every day. I don't see the issue.

Now go add 80 to that and do it in one hour. Your muscles will start breaking down and the waste from that is highly toxic to your kidneys and can leave long term damage.

As a Marine while at Naval Gun fire school, I had to 500 for making a few mistakes on the CAX Table.

I’m looking forward to the findings of the investigation. I just dont believe that the coach didn’t let them drink water, or rest at all. Our teachers know better than that in 2023. The issue I have is that if they dont find anything nefarious they will still fire the guy. Just sets a bad standard.
