How good of a job has Townsend done with these DBs? They completely locked down Bama, Arkansas, and OM in these last three games. Whitley got better, Calhoun has become a monster, Redmond looks the part and will only get better, Love made a bunch of plays this year. Townsend turned this young unit into a bunch of man coverage lock down badasses and he deserves a bunch of credit for our defense improving as the season went along.

Agreed, the improvement throughout the year was extremely noticeable. Two of those three guys were lost half the time last year, and are now playmakers. We need to give Townsend a raise along with Collins. He's proven to be a good coach and will probably be a monster recruiter.
