expectations. i have not been able to keep up with the off season. i know we have an ambidextrous pitcher that's about it. 6 weeks from today the season starts with VMI. Hail state.

I believe we are preseason top 10 I think.

Going to depend on how well our starting pitchers hold up. I think our hitting will be good enough as long as the new guys catch on.

As always will come down to the arms. I'm cautiously optimistic as long as we don't have the "arm flu" hit half the staff again. Man arm injuries were a pandemic last year!

Think this thread title has a lot of us nodding our heads.

We're ranked 22 in the preseason. It's gonna come down to can we find a reliable 3rd starter and bullpen. Add in to that we have to have the same Hunter Hines, a much better Kellum Clark, and you have to have production from your transfers.

I do think the back end of our bullpen will be improved with Nixon. We just need to find a way to bridge it to him.

My first love is basketball and football. I was never a really big baseball fan until we started winning, but I can definetly understand people losing interest in our basketball programs and being ready for baseball. Both hires looked good at first and we started well but I'm starting to see glaring weaknesses in both the mens and womens teams. Still not giving up on them

I give the Jackson State coach credit. He exposed something with our team that all the other coaches after have utilized and we have not found a solution. Ever since that game we have played like a bottom 2 or 3 SEC team

So you've always been a baseball fan? At least since the 80's.

You're exactly right!! Mo Williams doubled Tolu the ENTIRE game and had a good defensive scheme... since that blue print was shown we've looked horrible
