Even though some of you are seeing snow and it's cold everywhere, a possible severe threat is looking for next Monday. Temps will rapidly modify second half of this week bringing mid to upper 60's dew points into the region by this weekend and into early next week. A strong storm system will then enter the region setting the stage for possible severe weather. Still too early to talk any kind of specifics, but just file this away as you're deciding what brand meatballs to get for the bowl watching party.

As mentioned back on Monday, a severe threat event is now looking likely for next Monday. Below is the threat area per the SPC. Still early for specifics, but main threats look to be damaging straight line winds and tornadoes with timing looking like late afternoon into the overnight hours.
