I don't understand his rating with the lack of offers, but rated #6 juco over all. More than likely a project with a big frame. Didn't receive any offers before December.

JUCO route is tougher these days to get to the P5 unless you went P5 first and then back down to JuCo. G5 transfers usually have some game film vs P5 teams. Teams just don't recruit the JuCo's as much as they did before the portal existed.

There will be an adjustment period for most JuCo's to even get on the field. Thing is, there is still talent in the JuCo and when our coaches decide to go after one, I expect them to be pretty good.

Excited about this young man! Film on him is really impressive. Played QB and Cornerback. Very quick, elusive and great vision with the ball in hand! I dare say Johnny Footballish.......
He can be used in several different ways!
May be the steal of this years recruitment classes, despite what "expert" fans have said.

This class is a great foundation. Classic underrated kids that want to be here and in 2-3 years people will be wondering why they weren't more highly recruited.

Now, we need to add a 3-4 difference makers from the portal. We need at least 1 impact WR and 1 impact DL. They will be costly, but we need it to happen.

Seth is 5' 7" and 170lbs which isn't huge but RB's can actually be smaller and be better, even in short yardage situations. Some guys just have a knack of making you miss. Barry Sanders was only 5' 8" I am not saying that's what he will be but shorter can be an advantage for a RB in a lot of situations.

He's the only commit not in. I don't know about the situation, but if we are in fact getting Isaac Smith, plus we've got Raydar and Khamauri Rogers coming in through the portal and Kelley Jones, Luke Evans, and Brice Pollock from HS, I'm just wondering about how many secondary spots we would want to use.

I do not know what ratio should be used but I would treat TP players like JuCo. TP players may be more adapted to P5 depending on where they come from but they either wanted more money, more PT or more challenge to make them transfer. I think OM strategy of leaning heavily on TP will not be sustainable long term.

Zach and staff have done a great job! This could've easily gone bad after the death of Coach Leach, but kudos to Zach and staff for closing it out in great fashion. No better way to honor Coach Leach legacy than to keep on grinding even after it would've been so easy to just shut it down.

The bears signed 12. State signed 24.

They are expecting a large haul in the portal.

But, is that the right way to build and keep relationships with High School Coaches in your recruiting footprint? Plus, this is the year that you can sign as many as you want through recruiting or transfer to max out at 85. If after transfers out, graduates, NFL declares, you have only 50 on scholarship, you can sign 35 to get to 85.

Yeah unfortunately I think they are doing how you need to do in the transfer portal ear. Target your top gets who are athletic and can play early then get the rest in the portal who can also play immediately that you have tape on.
1 no wasted roster spots
2 those transfer portal guys are stuck there since they've used their free pass
