First of all they are not in the SWAC. Second they?ve won the southland conference 6 years in a row and could?ve easily won at Texas tech this week.

Everyone needs to calm down with the knee jerk hot takes. We are learning what it takes to play with a ranking and bullseye by our name now and we also played without our best guard that can slash through the lane. Every win is a learning experience and when we can win playing that bad just take it and move on. Basketball upsets happen a lot more frequently these days since 10-15 years ago, which is probably the last time our fans followed the sports.

We have alot to be concerned about on the offensive end. Our best perimeter guy is Shak and he struggles with his shot some, but I'll take him over the other guys on the perimeter. We have one more game before Bama and it's against a good Drake team who are 8-2. I'd love to see a good showing before heading into conference play

We are expressing concern about the deficiencies we are seeing, especially in the last two outings against competition far weaker than what we will see in conference play. Our outside shooting really concerns me. Most of the teams in the SEC I think we can feed Tolu down low and win. However, they will double down on him and force us to make longer shots. I haven't seen another SEC team that we shoot outside better. I think this year, if we can just get to the Dance, we've done a great job. I'm hoping for a 10-8 SEC worksheet and 9-9 at worst. Ole Miss is a much better outside shooting team than us, and they, IMO, have a potential NBA future player....then on the other hand, Ole Miss cannot match up against Tolu either. Really gonna be an interesting season to see how we finish up. Lot of close games forecasted. And that's where our crowd will be needed to go nutso! If we have to, just open up the entire upper concourse for free to the public for all future OOC games. The city of Starkville alone should able to at least put 5k in the joint.

Our metrics are beginning to regress to the mean, fortunately we?re still undefeated. The Drake game is huge. It?s a Q2 nonconference opportunity before we start an absolute gauntlet where we?ll be lucky to win 4 games in January. If we go into February with 16 wins I feel pretty confident we?ll make the tournament, anything less and we?re gonna have work to do in the SEC tournament in my opinion.

No, no. You have to tow the line and say we're perfect in every way, every day, or you're a hater, an idiot, the worst fanbase in America, etc.

Of course we're all ecstatic to be 11-0, but that doesn't erase the two games this week. They were garbage. We played 2 garbage teams and squeaked out 2 wins. Great, they were wins, but there's obviously things to be critical of when you are barely winning against teams of that caliber.

Tolu played like garbage for the entire 1st half. He's a great player, but yesterday's tape would not move him up anyone's draft board, but very well could move him down. I love Tolu, but if he has a half like that against Alabama, TN, Auburn, or Arkansas, we're getting blown out.

Again, great season overall, way ahead of schedule. We are well positioned to make the tournament. Still, this week was tough to watch.

Have been to every home game. They did look tired, but it was Nichols at home! We had a tremendous height advantage as their tallest player was 6'7" and we couldn't or didn't get the ball inside enough. Moore was missed. This team often reminds me of our WR room, I can't tell who the best players are from game to game. Jans stated he was not happy with defensive rebounding and yet to figure the problem out. I have stated that this team was fun to watch, but JSU game on tv (JSU lost 102 to 52 to Texas Tech yesterday) and this game to Nichols were not fun to watch. We were lucky to win yesterday. After the steal with about 5 seconds left, Nichols barely missed a 3 to win, followed by a missed put back at the buzzer to tie. Get Moore back (day to day) and learn from these two games. Still 11-0, fill the Hump, and beat bama! Hail State!
