We only have one open spot on staff. Unless someone leaves. So only way bump has an opening is if SS gets OC.

Good idea. He'll make a great WR coach when spurrier becomes OC.

Make an opening, send some people packing. We don't need an inside WR coach and an outside WR coach. Hell, tell Spurrier that if he wants to stick around he can coach the TE's we will be bringing in.

I think the feeling is a few assistant coaches leave, one of them being a WR coach.

I'm firmly against Spurrier for OC.

I'm feeling that we are more than likely bringing in an OC

What is with the Bumphis obsession?

I would be good with that. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out and who it will be if we go that route.

He's a WR that played for us, was born and raised in MS, and is currently the WR coach at a P5 school who won their conference two years in a row.

He'd be a great recruiter.

Oh I?m aware of Bumphis. Nice guy, but I saw him disappear in a ton of big games. Spurrier is a far superior recruiter. Not even close.

That's not true at all.

Really Clark?

Pray tell how his playing career is relevant to the conversation of him being a coach? Good grief.

He's a good coach and recruiter.

Maybe so. But until then we have one spot. And at this juncture we need a qb/ OC coach. All in one.

So you're saying we're not adding an OC and new DC, Bumphis, and Chaney?**

And we need that person to have some experience doing so.

At this juncture, sure.

But this juncture is unlikely to last long.

I would think somebody a few pay grades above some of you is figuring this out.

Everyone was saying the same thing last year, meanwhile Hollingshead played a huge role in us getting Chris Parson.
