Just read Sid’s release.

As you would expect, he went out still doing what he always did, helping people. Donating organs to help others!
We had a good man at the helm. RIP Coach.

Heartbreaking. There is solace knowing Coach has stepped into the presence and arms of our loving God. Rest easy Pirate. You are Forever A Dawg. Hailstate.

Life is truly a vapor!
One thing that death reminds us is there is an appointed time for us all and that we are to make the most of every opportunity that we have with the ones that we say we love the most.
Days like today, football seems so trivial.
Prayers for peace and comfort for Coach Leach's family during this awful time!

When I was in high school, we lost our local coaching legend. A great named Ben Wilkins. He still inspires kids from my hometown with the football program motto - "Be Somebody".

The quote from Mike below embodies that same spirit

My heart breaks for the family, friends, players and coaches. I know a comforter who can help them during this trying time even though the loss stings. You hurt when you lose someone, because you love them. I think all of us loved him by the ties that bind us through compassion and common love for each other.

The fact that he donated his organs says so much about him. At least something good will now come from his passing.
