He has left 3 College teams. It seems to me that he left each one in worse condition when he left. USC, Tenn and that small college in south FL/ How many of you believe that he will leave the OM team in shambles when he leaves?

Hard to tell. Maybe he's changed all of a sudden. Or maybe his use of the portal could lead to exactly what you're pointing out. A couple of years where the portal flops could hurt your team bad if you haven't recruited properly to make up for it.

These modern portal times you can get back in good shape pretty quick if you got some $$$

Kiffin's stops:

Tenn was 5-7 the year before. He got them to 6-6
He then went to USC after Pete Carroll ran off because he got USC on probation. He had scholly limits and couldnt go bowling for 2 years. Ran him off prematurely
26-13 at Fla Atlantic- their best run...havent been as good without him

You could say teams struggle because they downgrade after he leaves

The cheapest and best way is the Houston Astros model,

From my perspective, Lane has seemed to mature some in the last couple of years. I don't know what that means, or why, or whether he will sustain it in the long term, but I think he is less volatile in the last half decade.

I don't like it in terms of the impact it can have on his current team, but it's the truth.

Read an article from an OM site that he told the team he was staying before the Egg. Makes our victory even more satisfying. Hail State!

His actions sort of remind me of Elon Musk. Not saying Kiffin has a stratospheric IQ like Musk, but both are just kind of off the wall.

musk wants us all to have the same opportunities. How is that in any way similar to Kiffin?

I think Kiffin may be a tad on the Spectrum.

Perhaps why he and Leach get along so well.

I think Kiffin may be a tad on the Spectrum.

The striking difference between his "personality" on Twitter and how he actually is in real life would definitely lead to that.

You are mostly correct on this issue. Pete Carroll did nothing to get USC on probation. The NCAA fabricated a case against Todd McNair to get USC connected with Reggie Bush. After years of delays and questionable behavior proven by court ordered email published by the NCAA, it had to go to court and the NCAA settled with McNair, not McNair settling with the NCAA. This settlement is an admission of guilt by the NCAA thus the sanctions against USC were without merit. Based on my following of the proceedings, I doubt if the NCAA paid less than 30 million dollars in legal cost that dragged on and the unavoidable punitive damages due to McNair. Remember what happened when Jackie Sherrill finally got his day in court against the NCAA?
