Or possibly A&M?

Matt Rhule has never beat a top 25 team as a college coach and his time at Carolina was a disaster. I would think both Neb and Ole Miss could do better. I’m not sold on him.

Mississippi State is a better job than Nebraska

Kiffin > Rhule
They're going to downgrade regardless of who they hire, so I'm fine with it

I read earlier, I think on CBS.com, that A&M will probably keep Jimbo and make him hire an OC.

He has turned 2 programs into 10 win teams. Thats as sold on someone as you can get in college football
Saban failed as a pro HC also. The NFL is not for everyone

People that know me know to assume sarcasm and then wonder if I'm serious or not (aka the Chevy Chase style personality. Sarcastic asshole)

I also heard this on something recently but I don't know how you make someone with a guaranteed contract do anything. Threatening to fire him won't work.

I dont know because I have no idea about the guy. Does he want to take the rest of this year off and travel? Recharge?
Did the firing motivate the **** out of him to jump back in and find a good spot to coach in college football?
The money he is owed allows him to be picky about jobs. He will take an A&M, SEC, or Blue Blood job is my guess. Hard to see him jump on Mississippi considering the money he is owed and the time he can wait for a better job. But you never know

Assume the same. Nebraska site today the staff added a new coaching candidate , Bronco Mendenhall, and the fans were pissed.

Rhule may be waiting on Penn State to open up. Or some other Big 10 job.

Best job in football? a fired coach with a huge buyout. He can wait for something he actually wants.
