Here is the list of seniors that did NOT partake in today's festivities: Marcus Banks, Nathan Pickering, Scoobie Ford, Kam Jones, Cole Smith, Nick Lauderdale, Dolla Bill, Jackie Matthews, Esaias Furdge, JJ Jernigan, and Jett Johnson. We also had 3 juniors partake so I guess their scholarship spots will be freed up: Jack Harris, Dylan Lawrence, and Reed Buys.

We'll be stout on the OL next year if those 3 return and we don't have portal losses.

We'd have five guys coming back that have started games for us: Nick Jones, Kam Jones, Cole Smith, Dolla Bill, and Steven Losoya. Percy Lewis, Albert Reese, and a lot of other offensive linemen on the roster who I know nothing about for depth.

Who has a backup qb that has reps? Nobody unless the starter has been hurt. Altmeyer hasn't played 10 snaps since the first 3 games. And they were "equal". Thought today would have fixed the whole backup qb crap. In 2024 or 2025, we will trot a Qb out there to start not named Will Rogers. Unless he gets hurt prior.

OM built a 9 or 10 win team with the Portal, and we want to act like we can't replace some mediocre safeties and solid LBs? Yeah we will downgrade Watson and Wheat, but it's also possible to get a good DE and upgrade the DL pass rush and that would help the LBs indirectly. Or we could get a stud NFL LB off a G5 team that flew under the radar due to a knee injury. Who knows.

The Portal changes everything, you can't even begin to talk about the holes we have next year till the dust settles.

Personally, I think the biggest concern is Will Rogers brain- if he keeps shutting down under pressure, we will not be good. If he decides he's not afraid of hits and starts seeing the field better vs blitzes, the offense will be much better. Just that alone is a bigger variable than any portal guy or returning LB

I get Forbes being gone obviously, but seems like we should be able to make crumedy and Davis at least have a hard decision. And don?t understand Watson giving up a year of football at all. Have the rest of your life to have a job. We can?t get him enough money to enjoy one more year of football?

I'm aware. However, Jett is more athletic and moving on from one of two allows us to potentially get more athletic on the EDGE which will allow us to hopefully generate more havoc.

Jackie Matthews and Jalen Green are solid players we added from the portal. Biscardi has been much better than what we had at kicker last year.

As usual it takes us time to figure out how to do things- like use the portal. We weren't that active last year because we returned a ton of players. We got more guys that were multi year players like Justin Robinson and Steven Lasoya than one and done guys.
