1963, Taken from the 64 Reville. And its in Color/ Helmets had the bulldog on it.

Could be wrong, but as a young boy remember watching him on NBC on his first carry for the AFC Houston Oilers. Carried it about 60 yards for a TD. He was a great player. 1963 was when Dad started carrying me to State games. Hail State!

I'll do another Pic Later this week/ Didn't Ode play for the Oilers also? there us a YT channel which show the old AFL game and either Hoyle or Ode was the leading rusher in the late 60's.

I think the helmets had the flying M on the side. They wore them until 72 and changed to the M S logo. I think the freshmen squad still used the flying M.

I think Ode 's first play was a Kick off return for a TD--he made all pro team at houston. Walt Suggs also played for the Oilers.
