I don’t see the need. It will be great in the future when we actually have a q b who is mobile and somewhat athletic.

Could possibly get somebody that just finished up redshirting as a freshman. Or maybe a freshman that somehow didn't redshirt but still wants to leave and is fine redshirting next year. Then they'd have an opportunity to compete as a RS Sophomore if Will leaves or as a RS Jr. if he completes his eligibility. But yea, relatively unlikely we get anybody highly desirable and basically no upperclassman unless it's somebody that would have a hard time running any offense other than Leach's air raid. So maybe a pocket passer that is super accurate but undersized? Probably going to be a backup where ever they go, so might as well go somewhere where if there is an injury, they have a chance to thrive? Or maybe somebody that is thinking about coaching after college and wants to learn the air raid from Leach?

Not sure that a couple now in our QB room want to stay here as a backup either.

Also not sure why we would waste a spot on one.

Most of our portal additions need to be on defense and kickers. I'm sure we'll add a WR which is fine too. Other than that it would have to be someone that is just too good to not take that wants to come to MSU.
