How did that thunderstorm during the Memphis game effect attendance? Did fewer go looking at the forecast?

Maybe someone needs to show this to Lane, since he is obviously mistaken earlier this year regarding TSUN attendance at games ***

Well so far this year, we had a game that was forecasted to be thunderstorms, an 11 o'clock start for one of our biggest SEC games on the slate, and the aTm game, which probably had 95% capacity. This is stupid as shit. Maybe if our university scheduled big time non-conference games at home (Notre Dame, Ohio State, etc) along with a 6 pm start, maybe we could attract some fans to the game.
Who else on that schedule have yet to have a 6 pm start that wasn't also a rain out?

ONCE AGAIN, the university has absolutely no control over kick off times. That is totally controlled by TV. Also, we ain't getting Notre Dame or Ohio State to come to Starkville. The big thing is we have a boring offense.

Attendance is tickets distributed. Ole Miss gives away a lot of tickets to large employers, churches, etc for games where attendance is expected to be low.
That being said does Leach or Cohen really do anything to draw sidewalk fans to the games?

Add to it in the coming years with Texas and OU coming into the conference- that's also going to push us into more 11am and 3pm starting times.

Alabama has all the "sidewalk" fans in my NE MS county. They wouldn't come to the games at State if I furnished a vehicle, gas, tickets, and $ for food. There are more MS tagged vehicles here plastered with bama decals than State and OM combined. Years past, I used to have some real bama fans, over the state line, ask if we might have any extra tickets for State/bama games at Starkville. They don't even ask anymore.
