Where do they rank us knowing these losses?

My guess is 18

FSU coaching blew it tonight against NC State. Like 50 seconds left, on the NC St 24 (FG range) and threw a pick in the endzone. Run it. Kick FG.. win. Stupid. Would have helped us too.. NC St ranked 14th.

17-18 would be my guess. Other than kansas, the rest of those teams have two losses......

We will be top 15 next week - we have removed all doubt.

I'm going to go 17 but I could see 16.

We should pass the teams that loss like Kansas, Kentucky, BYU, and Washington.

Should pass Syracuse who had a bye and Kansas State who beat Iowa State 10-9.

Only thing I don't know is if we pass Utah who lost to #18 UCLA. If we do we make it to #16. If not we are #17.

#20. The LSU loss will haunt us all season. It?s a bad loss.

I?m thinking 14.

But the rankings that matter come out November 1st. Let?s say we do to Kentucky what we did to arky and let?s say we don?t crap a brick against bama and let?s lose by ten. I think we are a top ten team when the CFP comes out.

True this.

We are still a few weeks away from the real poll. That poll will have 13 people who watch the games and know who is who unlike a bunch of sports writers in California who do not watch games who just vote based on names. I am pretty sure if that poll came out next week, we would be ranked pretty high right now.

Lol. That's their thing. One of them said we weren't going bowling this year while we were WINNING the Arizona game. That comment aged well.

18 sounds about right.

Georgia should retake #1 as well. Bama might even slip below Ohio State.

If we take care of business and keep playing well the LSU loss won't matter as much to the playoff committee. They will take into consideration that the game was early in the year. If we only lose to GA and Bama the rest of the year we'll be ranked ahead of some 2 loss teams. I'd rather lost to them when we did than late in the year.

Just looking at it realistically. I would love for us to be ranked 15 but as a program we HAVE to be able to be able to win those games like LSU where we don?t let the moment or rivals history beat us. It?s what keeps us from being a perennial top 15 program.

That?s a good point. Early loss is better than a late loss. I think we can beat Georgia if we bring our A game for 4 quarters.

The lazy AP voters don't view it as a "bad" loss though.

Been checking on Twitter for folks that post their AP ballots publicly prior to the actual poll coming out.

Seen 16-18 in everyone's polls that have been posted. I would guess it's either 16 or 17 for us.

I've seen Kentucky anywhere from 18 to unranked. So they will probably stay Top 25 for our matchup this weekend.

Right now, there's still plenty of room for bouncing around. Before today's polls come out, the Top 4 teams (Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, and Michigan) collectively have played only one Top 25 team, that being Georgia over 12 Oregon.

Both Alabama and Georgia left something to be desired yesterday. Of course, Alabama didn't have their quarterback but I don't know how much that affects mid-season rankings. They are, after all, Alabama. I suspect it might be Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama, and Michigan as the top 4 in that order.

Whoops - I forgot about Clemson. Michigan has played absolutely nobody yet. Clemson has played and won two Top 15 games.
