Will read and threw to 3 open guys and a fourth test on a free play. Just a little off on Rufus and Arky made a solid play to make RaRa drop it. I like the decision making. Read the defense and take it if it's there.

What's frustrating to me is we coulda ran at the 3-man front last year. Why did we wait?

Past is past. Leach has said in the past that he never calls a run and trusts the QB to audible to it if it's there. I know he mentioned calling runs some this year that Will can check out of. I think doing that has made Will read defenses better and now he's gotten way better at checking to the run. Gotta remember we've been trusting a true soph/ junior with a limited freshman practice year to be cerebral and read the defense. It's a tough task in the conference with the toughest defenses.
