We?ve gotten two SEC the past two weeks while making a lot of mistakes. You have to get those wins to have a good season. Nobody plays their best every game. But we will probably lose at UK and/or at UM if we play sloppy, and we need both those to have a good season. We split those and go 8-4 with a veteran team, that?s not bad, especially against this schedule, but it does feel a little disappointing as a peak.

This was a great win because it was the next game on the schedule! We were supposed to beat a wounded Pig and we did.

Mississippi State CAN play much better.

State is 5-1 going into 2 treacherous road games. Our first 3 TDs were too easy and we got a little sloppy, especially on defense. Will had his second worse completion performance of the season and Still threw 3 TDs and 395 yards. The backs combined for 173 yards rushing and probably had another 80 yards catching with those Shovel passes and flares.

I will always be critical in game posting when I see areas of ineptitude or poor decision making, no matter the score.

But 40-17 was fantastic. I am a happy Bulldog today.

I watched 1st half in a spotty internet situation (damn motel ... long story). Finally got on when score was 14 - 0. What I saw from there for rest of 1st half was some ugly football ... defense kinda slacked up some, Arky moved ball on us real well for a while, and Will made 3 or 4 very bad throws that should've been picks.

I watched 1st half in a spotty internet situation (damn motel ... long story). Finally got on when score was 14 - 0. What I saw from there for rest of 1st half was some ugly football ... defense kinda slacked up some, Arky moved ball on us real well for a while, and Will made 3 or 4 very bad throws that should've been picks.

Again. Im not saying I didn't have an uncomfortable feeling all game. But we also won 23. It felt like we were one play from blowing it all game... but we never let Arkansas within 1 score.

But unless we totally dominated in 2nd half with absolutely no worries, sorta like OM is doing now to Vandy, then I don't think I'm downgrading our team. Arky is not only not that great, but a they battling some key injuries too. I think we can play real well in stretches but it's almost when it seems real easy, we relax on both sides of ball. Need killer instinct.

TN smoked LSU today but it was at TN. We probably should've beat LSU but I still think they have better athletes overall than we do. So right now I think we should beat UK but it's only our 2nd road test so could slip up there, but should win IMO even playing like today. Same with AU which just got smoked by UGA today.

So right now I think we should win every game other than Bama & GA, and we have to play really good at OM to win. AU is at home and ain't good either. Don't need to slip up at UK tho. So 8-4 and maybe 9-3. I kinda think we're better than OM right now but hard to tell ... and it is at OM. By that game they will have gotten much better and hopefully we will have too.

I still think we can play about like today against UK and win, unless Will throws 3 or 4 picks. And he's been lucky on several passes this year that should've been picks. Too many IMO. I feel the same way about AU too.

Every kicked he's missed he's kicked the laces. He's dead center whenever the hold is right. We need a new holder.

That's a good point. Special team issues usually get put on the kicker because that's what everyone sees. But there are many pieces to the special team unit.

I went back and watched all the kicks in slo mo and every miss was kicking the laces. Raybon is almost dead center with every kick when the hold is good. Heck the one miss yesterday on the fg he was still spinning the ball when Raybon kicked the ball and the laces were still didn't get the laces completely turned. We need a new holder bad.
