Everyone is saying Leach needs to go basically 2-2 in October. I do agree although I will honestly still be let down if we don?t go 3-1 and asking the question why?

Year one: Covid and stupid young and inexperienced and a complete overhaul of our offense.
Year two: we saw a large step forward on both sides of the ball. My main issue with last year was consistency. I at that time chalked it up to a young team.
Year three: I expected due to most of the team being vets not only in years but also in the system to play like a vet team. We basically have except when we played LSU. The way we lost to LSU worries me, because that?s how we lost every game last year outside of Bama.

We lost focus, we dropped balls, we missed tackles, we made stupid penalties. Those are not things that a veteran team does. And honestly that is the only way I see State loosing Saturday is if we pull another LSU.

And if we pull another LSU I will not doubt leaches system. I will then begin to doubt his ability to get the team focused. Because again, that is not something that you should be struggling with when the team is this experienced and should be much more mature.

All that being said, I believe if we come out focused and execute. I think we win this thing well.

I can understand the implosion in Death Valley. Dropped passes caused some doubts and the muffed punt just sucked the life out of us. It's Death Valley. It happens.

That should not happen at home against a team like A&M. If we still have focusing problems causing dropped passes and muffed punts in a home game of this magnitude then we have some serious problems.

I understand the implosion sue to the stigma that is Death Valley. But it is alarming due to the veteran status of the team.

WR group are not veterans except Williams, Ford, and Walley who have had issues. First year to start for RaRa, Rufas, and Ducking. Backups very young and new to program.

RaRa is truly the only young in experience and age as a true sophomore.

Ducking is a 5 year
Rufas is as redshirt sophomore 3rd year in the system.

Yep, not having Polk may have cost us that game. A sure handed Polk could have extended some drives and maybe scored.

Ducking spent two years in a run focused O at Holmes where he only caught 9 passes. Last year he played a little for us as a backup. I meant to say that all three of these were new starters for us. Veteran term didn't just mean how many years in the system.

even Austin Williams had a drop or two when we needed it .... seems the whole team and staff just had an off night in a place where that just can't happen. I hope that was Leach's WTF loss because I still think this team is better than most of the board does

I agree. We haven't seen what this team can really do. I hope Saturday is the start.

Don?t forget, we just got off of two games played after midnight in two consecutive weeks. That throws you off for atleast another week. Add to it we had to travel to BR after our team was tired all week catching up. You could see we were a step slow.

I hope and pray you guys are right. Because I do not want us to still be struggling with last year issues.

And LSU guy Nick Dias said in one of his podcasts that would be an issue for us. He had compiled stats on SEC teams traveling to back to back road games over the last ten years or so. It was not good for the two time road team. I was hoping he was wrong. But like 7 says "Don't question the stats."
