The term "flagship University" has about as much relevance in the modern education system as a bayonet does in the modern military.

It's just something UM says to artificially raise their own pathetic self-esteem; don't let it bother you. Even at that, I'm pretty sure the state of MS considers UM, MSU, and USM to all be their "flagship schools," so yeah, it's totally meaningless.

I'll let you use that to determine who is the "more likely" flagship, but I agree that it's stupid because neither will ever be a clear distinguished "flagship." That's said, I'll take the student population and the "people's university" all day long.

The fact that he was 1st team Preseason All-SEC is absolutely absurd- and myself and everyone else on this board called it before the season even started. Without the Nkemdiche name, the SEC media wouldn't even know who he was.

ETA: On the other side of the spectrum, Prewitt is a very good player- and is underrated by everyone because he plays on a team of big-headed attention whores. He has improved A LOT since his freshman year.
