I believe he is mistaken.

Yeah Vandy still sucks.

I'm firmly of the opinion that CBS has the dumbest commentators of any major network. And that's saying something considering ESPN's D list group.

Why isn't this on the SEC Network? My reception is shit. It looks like I'm having a bad LSD trip.

I'm putting money on Vandy going winless. Time to go to the BYA thread.

Based on the predictions of this thread, Vandy bout to go undefeated, lol.

How did Vandy score 56 so far?

Vandy scored 56 in three quarters, you guys make it sound like they were complete trash.

I think Vandy's bad but I think Hawaii is just well really really bad. Like they may go winless.

I do think Vandy's improved but I'm still not sold.

Vandy is improved but Hawaii absolutely sucks. They have zero team speed and I mean zero and their defense couldn't tackle Steven Hawking. Vandy will win 3 or 4 games this year.

If OM sleep walks in Nashville? given how tough vandy plays them? that could be upset of the season . Just saying

Very, very, very much wishful thinking. Just saying. Most of the years OM was having trouble with Vandy were while James Franklin was there and immediately after. The Franklin impact at Vandy is long gone now.

It may be competitive but I'm still picking Ole Miss to beat them.

Yep, it will be the Vandy/Hawaii game all over with Vandy playing the role of Hawaii this time.

That's not true. Ole Miss is 9-8 against Vandy since '05. Derek Mason teams beat them in '16 and '18; Franklin beat them in '11 and '12 (Franklin was HC '11-'13); Robbie Caldwell beat them in '10; Bobby Johnson beat them in '05, '07 & '08.

Hawaii is terrible. And Vandy is an SEC school with SEC talent. Admittedly it's talent that is 14th out of 14 teams, but their talent level is far above that of Hawaii.

Regardless of whether Vandy wins any SEC games, they are still much improved from last year. I think Lea was a good hire for them considering the situation. Vandy is always going to have a talent deficit to overcome no matter who the coach is. Of all schools, they need to avoid disaster hires. It’s bad enough when the Mississippi schools, Arkansas, South Carolina, Missouri or Kentucky make bad hires, but it’s even worse for Vandy. If Lea can keep them competitive and get them to bowl games they need to do what they can to keep him

I mean, as of right now I would not say vandy would beat them but , I mean vanderbilt will be better than last season. Vanderbilt kept it close in oxford with matt corrall as QB. Ole miss will be coming off a big game against kentucky with auburn the week after vanderbilt.

I wouldnt give it a 0% like some are, more like 5- 10% chance

With the current state of the SEC i dont know how they can even make a bowl game on a good season. They will have to play 4 horrible OOC games and pray 2 of ole miss/ south carolina/ missouri/ kentucky have bad seasons to have it happen.

They have a good running back and a mobile QB. The o line looks huge. Hard to judge how good they are against Hawaii.

Have any of you not followed the goings on at Hawaii the last year with all the Todd Graham stuff? They had like 61 players leave after last year. They are straight up poop. They are easily the worst team in FBS. I mean, they are awful.

Hawaii is a different place. Those folks are much different than mainlanders. Of course, he had plenty of non-Hawaiian players on his roster. But it’s a hard place to recruit and the Hawaiian culture is just so lazy and laid back. Ain’t nobody in Hawaii dying from stress, long work hours, overwork, etc.
