Hate it for the guy but on another note getting LSU early with a transfer QB new to Kelly's offense is the preferable choice.

Well, it sounds like him walking away is irrelevant to that. He was at best second team. Now if Daniel's struggles or gets hurt, it does leave them going to a RS freshman, who even if he was maybe edging Brennan out is still presumably less of a known quantity.

A transfer QB from Arizona State in a new offensive system in the first SEC game of the season vs a salty defense with a nasty looking D line. I'll take it.

Sucks. Kid was in the portal headed to usm supposedly before Kelly begged him to stay.

Also, are we sure Daniels is the starter?

No clue other than what it says in the article, which is not very clear. At one point it just says the door is open for Daniels, but another spot says the competition with Nussmier (sp) is just nominal.

But it's definitely possible Nussmier is in a competition with Daniels and Brennan had fallen to third string.

My LSU buddy says they are loaded with talent. Also he loves the assistants. Says they want win the west but will be competitive every game.

Nothing new imo on LSU, it’s been like this forever it seems.

Hell, he's old enough to retire from football rather than waking away
