I wouldn't mind grabbing a couple of their recruits if we weren't portal needy. There's a couple overlooked kids signed there. La Tech is dead in CUSA. They might be better off in the Southland than CUSA.

Don't know why they don't move to sunbelt. They're a good athletic program

They tried but got left out. ULL and Monroe fought it. They're hung out now.

Really good pick up by Baylor. I think he will turn them around pretty quickly.

I always liked Baylor because they seem to have a lot of MSU baseball connections when they had Steve Smith and Steve Johnigan and Mitch Thompson.

No. That's a worse job than Tulane which he already turned down. If/when Gautreau leaves it will be for school like TCU or someone like that.

Baylor announced they are hiring a Texas JUCO HC coach as their new HC.

He did say a "couple" and since LA Tech played at our regional in 2016 they have averaged 40 wins a year and also played in regionals the past two years. There are always one or two guys from those types of programs we could use. That most anyone could use actually. Lord knows we could right now.

Like I said....
you obviously missed my original post. A couple recruits IF we weren't portal needy.

Fact is, LA Tech beat LSU twice, beat USM, beat Dallas Baptist, beat ULL....all generally regional teams. Saying a couple of their recruits wouldn't help is like saying we couldn't use USM's two best pitchers. Hell, USM has a recruit or two I thought we should've taken too.

Hopefully LA Tech takes Tennessee's pitching coach. That would be a top choice. Phenomenal job done at UTK and has head coach experience at Ok State (5 Regionals, 1-Super, in 7 years).
