Can't get a hand anywhere near the ball. The refs have called this one tight and it has NOT favored us. Only down 25-22 with 5 minutes left in the first

quick 5-0 run puts them up 33-24. We have missed some paint shots we should have knocked down

As Ray said earlier this year, we have to stop helping so much on D. Their shooters are killing us when we give them space. And we need 2-3 pure scorers, we miss way too many fast break layups and 5-10 foot shots.

That said, we look pretty darn good in spurts, and with our D, we have a chance to climb back in it. Have to start knocking down some shots.

Agreed. I'd like to see Borchert down low on offense more.

OK, we are only down 13 Butterfield, Medlin, are great so is Shaw (who by the way is 6'11") Ware is holding his own. We need Borchert and Sword to step up. I know we basically have only 3 post players but, come on now, hit the boards, play great defense and stay out of foul trouble, which is a big reason why we are down by so many points. You can't score or play defense, while on the bench.

Rebounding is going to kill us this year. Ware can only do so much by himself. We need some help from Thomas and Borchert but that's going to leave us susceptible to fast break points if we don't get the rebound. It's going to be key for us to load up on fast break points off of turnovers because we aren't going to get nearly as many half court opportunities off missed baskets.

I can't imagine all of these will be called against us in conference play. I know hand checking is getting called more but we are getting called on everything. This type of crap is partly why college basketball has declined so much. No stars and the rules on fouls have gotten out of control. The physicality of basketball was what made it fun and there is none of that in college basketball any more. It's 3 pointers and transition baskets.

Very few teams have guys with legit mid range games. That's why Sword and Thomas could be All SEC caliber guys because they can hit the 3, get to the rim, and hit mid range shots.

basketball was alot better last year because they did let them play more- alot of that shit being called tonight wont be called during the SEC season.

We do struggle shooting the -ball though. We are still young and this is a good experience for us

I actually had forgotten how emotionally attached I was to basketball. Its been awhile since (Stands final stand) I watched a game and yes I feel we are being cheated with the one sided calls

Catch 22 with the new rules. Can't play defense on the bench, but once you do play defense, they call a foul, and you go to the bench.
