I didn?t say it was a fluke. I am saying the National perception will be that. Historically what is the National perception of Mississippi State athletics? Not a good one. Now the so-called hero and his two gurus have taken the same program to the bottom of the SEC one year after a NC. That is Bull Crap. Giving this staff a pass because of last year is asking for more of what we have seen this year.

Covid did us a favor last year because it would've been NC State we played instead of struggling Vandy. Glad we got the Natty but I honestly didn't have a good feeling if it was NC State we played.

I said it during the Long Beach State series. This team looks like they spent all off season riding in parades and getting patted on their backs. Their plate approach sucked from game one and it was scary to see the lack of discipline and arrogance at the plate, as if last year had given them a free pass to not work on a damn thing.

And it appeared then as we know now, that most of them had regresses. Went from a team in 2021 to a roster full of ?grip and rip? Me Me Me guys outside of a few. Yeager, Hines and Slappy still appeared to have somewhat of an idea at the plate or worked to attain one throughout the season. Rest of the Me?s were just trying to hit homeruns.

Sad waste of a season but maybe we can find some real baseball players between now and next February. This team only has a handful.
