View Full Version : You can tell the life has been sucked outta the fans. Very small crowd for a SEC

Sunday matchup in May and after one inning no game thread on ED, til now. Apathy has set in.

Basically. I liked how Bert called out the ump last night. Not much, but said he was basically bad

Pretty much said all umps have a bad night occasionally but that Mark Winter had a "very bad" night.

Well the bad ump ended our season. To have even a glimmer of hope for postseason we had to win this series.

Well, I'm out here and it's just as completely pathetic as usual. Three straight 17ing infield pop ups.

I went Friday and Saturday but sat on the sidelines today. Very disheartening to say the least. And James K's yet again. He's vying for the golden sombrero.

an interesting development is Lane Forsythe is now our best hitter.

Every time we get a bad call we totally melt down. Just a very mentally weak pitching staff.

I don't know if it's being lazy with evals or just being bad at it. Either way, it ain't good. I would also add that we really need to develop the guys we do have. We had way too many guys that just didnt' get better from last year to this year.

I hope every upper class man on this team moves on. We were gonna suck next year with them. Might as well suck with a bunch of transfers and freshmen. And Fristoe needs to be pitching for Kentucky next year so he can help them still suck. That has to be one of the worst recruiting fails in the history of state baseball.

Cade deals for 7 innings and our pen can't get 6 outs. Fristoe walks the 7 hole and the 9 hole.

I?m at the game and I don?t think I?ve ever seen a team strike out and pop up so much. Unreal.

btw, for all the posters that were laughing at the confederates you may want to wipe that egg off your face. They're now ahead of us in the standings. Good chance we don't even make the SECT tourney, much less the NCAA.

0-6 at home against mediocre LSU and Florida teams. Just pathetic

Dude. This team is getting swept 3 straight series. 9-21 will be the SEC record. If Forsythe is not the lead off guy at A&M Lemonis ain?t got a hair on his ass Forsythe is now our best hitter in SEC play!!!!

At this point I wouldn't draft a single draft eligible player from this team. Period.

I hope Clark comes back. However he needs to be DH or 1B. He is to slow to play outfield.

Lazy on our evals and, what are we coaching here? Just looked up Hatcher and Pimentel. Hatcher is hitting is hitting .385. Yeah its a lower level but he also went 5/14 against midweek SEC pitching with a 5/9 against GA. Tech thrown in. By the way, that was a mid-week starter we faced today making his first SEC start. Pimentel is hitting .372 with 11 HR after hitting .286 here last year.

Clark couldn?t start for MC. I don?t know if he is to blame for his year because he won?t listen to coaching, or if Goat is to blame for not working on his approach and swig plane. I?ll take Forsythe and Hines back. The rest can go play Church League Softball where their talent level matches up with the pitching.

Yeager should have stayed with Mercer. They will make the tourney and he might be a difference in how far they could go.

At this point, I don't care who stays or goes. I don't think we have anyone but Hines and smith that would be worth worrying about. I hope lemonis hits the portal with the intention of upgrading any position, and if someone doesn't like it, bye

Yeager is a grad transfer and Mercer did not offer his grad program. He did not quit on them, he had no reason to stay since he had declared for his masters.

I'm all for calling our coaches out when justified but, good grief, last year our coaches stuck with and stuck with and stuck with Hatcher until their hand was forced because he was essentially an automatic out in our lineup playing a defensive position that is supposed to be one of your best sticks. Hatcher absolutely made the right move leaving because whatever corrections were made to his swing at his new location to get him to be this productive were definitely not going to happen here with JG.
