I was really worried about losing Marcus Williams; but now adding mathieu with Marcus maye, the saints may be even better on defense, which is very impressive.

Got the armstead replacement in 1st round, and they added the wr needed opposite Thomas. Really like the saints' offseason

yeah, they are looking good. 2 questions

1) how many games suspension for Kamara
2) How good is Dennis Allen as a head coach.

That's the 2 million dollar questions, and no one has an answer yet.

I expect the saints to sign another rb next.

The same guys on saints' board that called honey badger last week are saying Jarvis Landry now

How does his skill set compare to current NFL starting defensive backs in 2022, not a couple years ago?

Wow that would be huge for Winston. Landry, Thomas & Olave would be explosive.

You mentioned Marcus. That draft where the Saints got Lattimore, Ramczyk, Marcus Williams, Kamara, Anzalone, and Trey Hendrickson all in one draft was unreal. One of the great single team drafts in NFL history.

It'll be interesting to see if Winston can continue his improvement on his int rate. His int rate got outrageous under Arians, but was much better under all other coaches. Interesting note: in 2020, the bucs were 7-5 before the bye and Brady had 10 ints. After the bye, the bucs went 8-0 with 4 ints. So pre-bye, int rate of .83/game, and after bye, int rate of .5/game. What happened on that bye? Brady reportedly fought with Arians telling him his offense sucked, and they changed the offense up. By the way, that 0.83 int/game rate brady was on was his highest rate since 2005.

Winston was better last year than he gets credit for. 14 TD?s and 3 INT?s in 7 games prior to his injury, and that was with an absolutely terrible crop of receivers. He should have much better pass catching talent to work with this year. Landry is a big signing, and I really liked the Olave pick. If Mike Thomas is anywhere near his 2016-2019 self then you have likely turned a position of weakness into a position of strength.

As long as Winston is our quarterback we are building for whoever we end up drafting in a future draft. He is good enough to keep us from getting a high enough draft pick to pick an elite quarterback and that’s about it. We are wasting our time trying to make that guy a franchise quarterback.
