McDonnell ain’t going to Ole Miss. That is a pipe dream. Hell dude was in Omaha last year with a MS State polo and his wife has a State shirt on. Him and Lemonis are really close and he has made it known he has no Desire to coach against him especially in a rivalry like ours.

But make no doubt, they will fire Bianco, and all the talking heads will tell everyone they are getting a big name cause they are so dedicated to baseball. You will hear all kinds of names. They will think they are getting McDonnell, then Godwin, then it will keep going down and down the list. They screwed up and should have fired him last year and hired Schloss. He is taken now tho. They will end up with a mid major and Kendell Rogers will jerk all for the new coach cause he is really the “best up and comer like Tony Vitello”

On a side note, I didn’t realize Vitello was the recruiting guy for TCU when they had their big Omaha run. He recruited most of the kids for the 2014-2017 run then went to Ark and recruited Van Horns big run. Dude may be a douche, but TN may have struck gold with that hire.

What?? Have you looked at what he's done? Mediocre?? Back to back supers. 3 since he's been there. That's not mediocre. Especially at ecu. Limited resources. Either you haven't researched what he's done or it's a really bad take. Now whether he wants the ole miss job or not is the question. But what he's done at Ecu isn't in question. He's been exceptional!

Maybe he is, but if you can't make two supers in row at ecu, and 3 overall, then why is assumed he can't do it with way more??? I understand all mid major "upgrades" don't always succeed but he's had success at a very high level.

They didn't have a choice really. What good coach- check that- big time coach- was going to take that job if they fired Bianco after a super appearance and being ranked highly when covid hit. An extension is meaningless contract wise to a degree. It gives him recruiting help that he had to have. But, they ca work the buyout in lots of ways to give him an extension.
