I watched a little of one of their games this past weekend and noticed that their batting averages throughout the lineup, with the exception of Elko looked way down from last year. I also didn?t see Dunhurst, and Chatagnier wasn?t in the lineup until he pinch hit late in the game.

This. There is a reason Omaha is spelled that way. The collapse just happened much earlier this year than every single other season since the end of the 2nd world war has.

I knew om pitching was bad going into the season and it's even worse than I thought. Their defense is awful! Yeah they have a decent lineup hitting wise but you win championships in baseball with pitching and defense and they've been exposed in sec play. Dunhurst is hurt and that weakens their defense even more and their lineup as well. Folks that know baseball knew going in they didn't have the arms to compete this year and that's proven true.
