I believe RPI considers home/neutral/road. Our next 2 series are on the road. So if we could win, that would help. Three of our remaining five series are on the road. And Missouri has a surprisingly high RPI. I don't think they are very good.

I agree that we need some help from some past competition (Long Beach State, Texas Tech, Tulane, etc.). Because for every SEC winner, there is an SEC loser.

The bottom line is that the next 2 weekends are on the road against teams that are certainly beatable. This is the time to move up. Winning 4 of 6 is not too much to ask. If we go 2-4 or even 3-3 we are in trouble.

Ole Miss is reeling right now - I think if we can jump on them Friday night a sweep could be in the cards. I think we sweep Mizzou, take 2 against UF and OM, and grab 1 each against A&M and Tennessee and end up 15-15.

If we are going to sweep, our bats have got to come to life on a consistent basis. Otherwise we just will not have the pen depth to win three games in a row

The issue is now that our pitching staff is so bad we're going to have trouble piecing together midweek games and still have available arms for the weekend, especially a Thurs,Fri,Sat series like we have this week. I mean right now our staff is Brandon Smith, Cade Smith, Preston Johnson, Pico Kohn, KC Hunt, Mikey Tepper, Jackson Fristoe, Drew Talley, Cole Cheatham, Cam Tullar, and Jack Walker. That's it. Now take out Brandon, Preston, and Cade and that leaves you with 8 guys. You obviously don't want to use KC in a midweek so you're down to 7. Bottom line is someone, and it needs to be Jack Walker, needs to step up and be able to give us 5-6 innings in a midweek game from here on out. We also are probably going to have to find a position player or two to eat innings in the midweek. We know we have Forsythe for that, but probably need to find another. May not be a bad time to give Tanner and inning somewhere. Tonight would be a night to try it out for sure.

Yes. We need Jack Walker to step up. He needs to help us in the midweek, and maybe pitch a little on the weekends when possible.
