Was criticized early in the season for saying Slappy could easily be a 20-25+ HR guy with just a few tweaks. Even with his raw swing he will be around 15+. Some pro team can work with him and make him a 30-35+ pro guy with his power. Bookmark this post. He can be a Joey Gallo type big leaguer.

Looks like he is picking it up quicker than early in the season. He had had fewer and fewer check swings on them. Suggests he is picking it up out of the hand. If he can keep it up and force the pitchers in the zone, look out.

He deserved the right. But any manager worth his weight in lava rocks could see he was gassed after first batter. Even Stevie Wonder could see it was time to take him out.

The pitching/bullpen management has been abysmal this year. No other way to put it. The coaching staff has zero ability to see who does or does not have it and they are letting practice/bullpens have too much influence on their decisions
