1. Kam James- .431 OBP
2. Hines- Statiscally our best hitter, get him more ABs
3. Lotan
4. K. Clark
5. Yeager
6. Cumbest
7. Hancock- down to .240 but still has a .403 OBP
8. Jess Davis
9. Lane Forsythe

Statisically, this lineup makes more sense than what we are doing. 8 and 9 hole are what they are.

I like it! Man, we seem to swing and miss so many pitches. Arkansas over the years has just dominated us, I don't really get it or understand. We are having a hard time no doubt putting a complete game together. Today is a big game, we really need to swing the bats today, I'm hoping we get off to a good fast start, we are putting ourselves in a hole way too many times early in games!

I expect Hancock to hit eventually, boy it sucks to have a non hitting 1B batting 7th

1B should be a masher

Now we know the Samford kid was rejected, what a damn shame

Agree 100% with a change. You can't keep your 3-hole hitter there when he's only hitting .240. Plus, in the later innings, I hate when we turn the lineup over only to have Davis getting "another" AB when we coulda gotten one batter closer to our premium hitters with this lineup change.

Our best hitter is a 1st baseman. He just doesn't play 1st base.

I think this is our best bet right now and exactly how I would make it. Only changes I might consider are swapping 8 and 9. Put Davis 9th to better help with the top of the lineup. The only other thing I might swap is Clark and Lotan.

I don't think it matters too much. We're not a very good hitting team, and have only one SEC caliber pitcher, Smith. The guys we lost from last year's team killed us.

If you are suggesting playing Hines at 1st I know you aren?t going to dh Hancock? I mean what do we do if you dh Hancock and Lotan gets hurt in a game you just killed the dh.

That's always been a weird rule to me.

Why do you think it?s weird?

I’d like to think changing the order of the same guys will produce a different result. I’d like to think that.

Why do you think it?s weird?

Because you can double switch any other position and not lose it.

Meh. Let's see how tonight goes. This lineup has been pretty good as a whole.

Well Lemonis listened… kinda… now instead of us having to worry about the 3 hole being an auto out, it’s the lead off spot…

Hancock
James
Hines
Tanner
Clark
Cumbest
Yeager
Coder
Forsythe

I really hate hitters watching strike 3 in a big spot

Cumbest needs to lead off because he can only hit with no runners on

Lose the DH and pinch hit for the pitcher each time after that
