Yep. His role is as a reliever, ideally...it is what it is. He was great in that role last year. It sucks injuries, our lack of depth, and pitcher development have forced us to this.

It's Friday in the SEC, though...you gotta expect to see good pitching and your offense to struggle. Him not able to go deep and burning our pen, however, is the killer. Hopefully, he can go a few more innings without allowing it to get much worse.

And it seems teams typically will have different guys hitting the long ball at different times, essentially picking each other up so to speak. But that would be an interesting analysis for us thus far this season.

The only decent-ish Friday pitcher that MSU has hit was Tulane's.

The missing pieces are Rowdey and TA. Everybody is the same or about the same. Talking only hitting.

Friday last year, MSU lost 8-2 in Vegas. So, that's a fact. Seven straight loses to the Hogs right now. 3-10 in the last 4 seasons. They are hard to beat.
