Has anyone heard who will be Jans assistants? New Mexico State just hired Greg Heiar as their new coach. Jans' associate head coach, James Miller, was a finalist for that job so would he come to Starkville?

I read somewhere he was waiting to see if Miller would be hired at NMST. Very real possibility he will join Jans

If Miller is worth a damn and Jans wants him I hope Cohen doesn't go cheap on Miller. Cohen stepped up for Jans and I hope he does the same for assistants.

Yeah, I meant for stability and being able to keep him for a while if he's important to Jans.

Sounds like Brooks is going to be in the Rod Gibson role for basketball and no longer on the bench

Not exactly correct. George will be the Special Asst to the HC. Not 1 of the 3 on bench assts.

This is pretty big to not have to train assistants while you gets kids familiar with your system.

That's a good point. I hadn't really thought about it.
