Josh Hatcher has hit for the cycle twice in the last three games. Playing for Kennesaw State.

So happy for this guy. And kinda bummed that he couldn't find that while here. Sometimes a change of scenery is needed. Seems like a great kid.

But Josh is doing great and I'm happy for him.

He gave us some good abs in the postseason last year and helped us win a NC, got himself a ring. He never pouted and was always ready when Lemonis called on him. Glad he's doing well and wish him the best. He'll always be Dawg!

To me he seemed like he needed glasses lol, he guessed at every pitch because he couldn't pick up spin. Seemed like a vision thing to me honestly. I read the dudes in the Majors have great eyesight for that very reason

This is the only thing that needs to be said. We shat on Hatcher all year last year, but he hung in with the team and didn't pout or give up half way through the season. He helped us win the NC during our run through CWS

Maybe. He seemed too pull happy while he was here. In an interview I believe he said he started to try to use the whole field again and has started to have big results. I think he will get drafted probably honestly. He will be a great senior sign for some organization.

He was a hell of a first baseman. He had a heck of a glove over there.

Good For Josh

How many guys can say, "I was the opening day, starting 1B man for Mississippi State, and we won IT ALL that year"

Just him

Good for Hatch. Kennesaw has always had a strong program. I had friends/former teammates that played on their DII Natty team in '96.

I believe one of the games was against GA Tech.

He's actually playing centerfield for Kennesaw State.

I saw. I was saying for us. To me he was a lot better than Hancock is at 1st.

Yeah, Hancock leaves a lot to be desired at 1st. I have no clue why they don't start Hines at 1st (supposedly really good defensively) and DH Hancock. You end up with the same lineup and a better defender in the field.

Leaves a lot to be desired? What are you basing that on?

Happy for Hatch. He needed to get into a confidence groove with lower level pitching. Hope he can develop to next level.

He's a small target, doesn't get much of a stretch and isn't that great at picking balls out of the dirt.

On top of that, he's the no. 2 catcher. If he got hurt playing in the field, then we'd have no legitimate backup catcher.
