$2.4 starting this year. Actually good for him but I'm a little surprised. I read a few days ago he made around $565 last year.

Price of the SEC. He's still not top 10 in the conference. I also like the 600K in incentives he can add on with a good season

He had other schools who were after him also. If he’s your guy make it happen. Don’t play around.

Good point and good stuff. Who all did we have to compete with I wonder.

The more I research Jans prior seasons, the more I like. Howland did LOTS of really good things as a coach but the fact that he let DJ Stewart hunt Long 2pt shots was just bizarre to me. For example, DJ shot 205 Far 2s (an insane number) at a 41% rate last year. That is the equivalent of a 27.5% shooter from 3! It drove me nuts. It is the little things like that which are the difference between being a bubble team and a tournament team. From the data, Jans clearly deplores the Far 2 and does whatever he can to scheme his teams away from taking those terrible shots.

Kansas St was the main competition but Missouri tried to get involved

2 programs with more hoops history and "prestige" than us. Well I'll be damn I thought that just couldn't happen in Little O' Vegas. If Jans beats Pigs, Ole Miss might have snatched him.

2.4 mil is a bargain in our conference right now. It's a massive pay raise for Jans, and it we didn't have to break the bank on it.

Missouri is kinda like Ole Dixie in football, live in the past not the present although Ole Dixie has done better in football than Missouri has in basketball the last say 20 years or so.

Ksu has done much better than us in basketball overall, but I don't know or think they are any better except maybe in attendance.
