I have a friend that went to the game and sat a few rows up behind our bench. He said that there were so many people on the sidelines that it was almost a distraction. I told him we had tons of recruits at the game, but he said it didn't look like they were recruits. He said it seemed like a lot of middle aged people, but he wasn't sure. Anyway, he said there had to have been 500+ people on our sideline that were not team members or coaches.

For those that were there....Was he exaggerating this? Did you see an abnormal amount of people behind the bench?

I never saw it discussed so I pretty much just wrote it off as over exaggerating...but thought I would ask.

Just curious

That's what I figured too. If so, we need to have that again on Thanksgiving night

500 people is definitely an exaggeration.

The SEC has rules on how many people can be on the sidelines, so I'm figuring we were probably just at the limit.

It was all the people that had to be recognized for something at every available opportunity.....another Scott Stricklen distraction for what everybody is (or should be) there for.....a football game, not a carnival.

Press credentials were given out for Bama. I think first time this year.

There definitely a lot more than normal, but 500 is definitely an exaggeration.
